Idea Developement

The idea of this experiment is inherited from our previous videos, in which I proposed that the effect of an explosion depends on the density of materials and the quantity of the explosives. consequently affecting the stability of a structure.
Therefore, in order to carry on this educated hypothesis, I firstly planed my chain of thoughts in sketches, then I selected the most suitable one and tried to modified it on a computer program called solid works.
My sketches express the concept of the result of explosions where different percentages of a structure has been demolished. eg. 35% and 60%
For example, my 35% demonstrates many small IRREGULAR explosions which shown small effect in terms of the overall structure of the building.
Therefore, density of materials can be high which enables the stability of the building.
For example, my 60 % explosion shows a REGIONAL vast explosion which results in an unstable structure.
Therefore, penetrating power is very high from the explosives.

363 George street envelope in solidworks

This model is basically constructed by using extrude and extrude cut.

week 4 TASK

These useful tutorials were actually completed during week 7 when I realised it is essential to have such skills for further development of the assignment.

However, my skill for making lofts is still limited, I was having trouble with creating a curved end.

Extrude was easily done.

The rev&sweep is one of the most difficult tutorials that I have done. It requires the ability of implementing different tools at once.
